Hanifary Bay to Dharavandhoo. Discover a paradise of powder-like sand, whispering palms, and shallow lagoons.
Days 01 & 02
The adventure starts in Hanifaru Bay, a 30 minute sea plane or a half day cruise from Malé.
This enclosed underwater bay, known locally as ‘Vandhumaafaru Adi’ is popular with snorkelers, divers, and underwater photographers alike, thanks to its impressive concentration of graceful and gentle reef manta rays.
After lunch on board, you will have the chance to witness the mantas as they roll and whirl around the hull in a feeding frenzy.
Day 03
Today the crew will lift anchor early and take the cruise to Goidhoo, a fairytale-like island with pearl-white sand.
On arrival, venture inland to explore the island’s unusual freshwater lakes and tropical forests of palms and rubber plants, and you may even encounter one of the huge crabs that reside here – many of them are larger than a foot.
For those that enjoy snorkeling, the local reefs are home to an abundance of different fish, and you will be able to spot rays, dolphins, whale sharks and sea turtles.
The area offers an abundance of other activities: kayak to an uninhabited island, which features a beautiful sandbank, or enjoy kitesurfing on the Goidhoo reef.
Day 04
Today the yacht will cruise to Innafushi, an uninhabited island which lies within the UNESCO Biosphere in Baa Atoll and is internationally recognised for its unique traits. This area remains a natural reserve which preserves the original beauty of these paradise-like landscapes.
Day 05
Today we anchor to the northern side of Hithaadhoo, the third largest island in the Baa Atoll. Today your crew can arrange a big game fishing excursion, and catches in this area have included snappers, groupers, bluefins and sharks.
Day 06
Today we continue our exploration to the west of the Baa Atoll, with some fantastic diving and snorkeling opportunities in the nearby coral reefs. Spend a day lazing on the sun deck or swim from the yacht’s swim platform. Our anchorage tonight is just off the island of Fares, a beautiful uninhabited island abundant with tropical greenery, fringed by pearly sand and circled by a coral reef.
Day 07
Today we cruise to the island of Kendhoo, where you can enjoy practicing Yoga on the pristine beach. After relaxing ashore, take the tender to explore the nearby islands. If you’re lucky, you might spot a pod of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin skipping through your wake.
Day 08
Today we cruise to Four Seasons at Landaagoraavaru, home not only to an abundance of tropical species such as geckos, frigate birds, dragon lizards and dragonflies, but also to a luxury Four Seasons resort. Head ashore and reset your mind at the Island Spa and Ayurvedic Retreat, and then enjoy sundowners at the floating seabar before returning on board for the night.
