Monaco to St Tropez. Cruise through the sybaritic history of the South of France. With a cast of painters, writers, winemakers and chefs.
Day 01
Today tie up in Monaco, the spiritual home of yachting. The best view over its billion dollar harbour? The Hotel de Paris. Order a Nutcracker, a cocktail of Grey Goose and almond milk invented by superchef Alain Ducasse. Feeling lucky? Play like James Bond in the Salle Europe inside the Casino de Monte-Carlo. Although 007 didn’t have a yacht anchored below.
Day 02
This morning step from your yacht to our SUV for the high ride to Eze. This castle village is so precipitous that views stretch to Corsica - 220km away. Need the beach? Hike the 429m descent via an ancient shepherd’s path. Or (gulp!) borrow our Cannondale mountain bikes instead. From here it’s a short swim (or tender, RIB or seascooter) back to your yacht.
Day 03
Anchor off your yacht for charter on one of Cap Ferrat’s six beaches for lunch. However, the most memorable swim requires a mask and snorkel. The Vallée des Gorgones dive site is alive with scorpion fish and gorgonia fans. Your yacht has every accoutrement - wetsuits, GoPros, water torches, full face kids’ masks - to play Jacques Cousteau.
Day 04
Enjoy the ultimate breakfast view. From your yacht deck gaze across Villefranche’s Citadelle. Swim, SUP or seascooter to this ancient fortress. Play hide and seek within the 15th-century walls. Or stay until dusk when the Citadelle hosts an outdoor cinema under the stars. It’s cocktail-o-clock when you return to your yacht.
Day 05
Today consider skipping breakfast. Nice has been the French Riviera’s culinary capital since the salade Niçoise was born. At dawn your chef will hit Libération Market to buy chanterelles and charcuterie. Join them by Segway or eBike or eagerly await their return. Lunch beckons at Michelin two-star Restaurant Flaveur. The restaurant’s two young chefs are the enfants terribles of the modernist dining scene. They can also recreate pinch-your-self takeaway for your yacht.
Day 06
Step straight from your yacht into the Cote d’Azur café capital. We’ll sip espresso where Picasso once sat. Then see his Antibes canvasses - boats, beaches, boobs and all - during a personal tour of the Picasso Museum. A glass of pastis in Place Nationale sums up Antibes’ libertine spirit. In Picasso’s words: “It takes a long time to become young”.
Day 07
Today your crew will tender you in to Cannes. The French Riviera’s coolest coastal destination wows guests of all ages. Kids can Instagram the Walk of Fame. Teens can sip mocktails in rooftop bars. Adults? Hit the bar in the Hotel Martinez. It’s where Film Festival winners wave their gongs. Hold your own after-party on your yacht’s deck, beach club or private dining salon.
Day 08
Spend the day on a paradise island. Porquerolles could belong in South East Asia. Silver sand, topaz sea, Mark Rothko sunsets. Curiously, the newest addition to island life is an art foundation buried deep underground, which holds a priceless collection of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Y.CO will call ahead for exclusive access.
Day 09
Ride into St Tropez’s Vieux Port by tender. This flamboyant fishing village has activities for everyone. Meet art gallerists on rue Saint-Jean. Taste rosé at vineyard Chateau Minuty. Or own the dancefloor at Caves du Roy, the coolest club in the South of France, where one call from Y.CO will put you on the guestlist. Just don’t stay too late! We need to be on Plage Pampelonne by brunch.
Day 10
This morning your captain will anchor off Plage Pampelonne, the hottest strip of sand in the South of France. Crew will tender your group to a beach club to suit. Try Loulou for organic mocktails. Or Polynesian-chic beach restaurant Cabane Bambou, which serves wagyu beef tataki alongside cocktails of Japan Sours - Angostura bitters, Tokyo whisky, honey syrup. Back on deck your crew can mix drinks until way past midnight. The party only pauses when you do.
