Cooks Bay to Pape'ete. Deep Blue Sea. Luscious Green Rainforests. Virgin Mountain Peaks. Explore the greatest sites in Tahiti.
Day 01
Arrive at Tahiti international airport (direct flights available from Singapore, Sydney or LA) for your Tahiti yacht charter. Your private yacht will be waiting alongside the dock in Pape'ete harbour. Depart the main island of Tahiti for the nearby island of Mo'orea, just a short distance away where guests can relax in beautiful Cook’s Bay. Enjoy dinner onboard your superyacht for the first evening amongst stunning geographical surroundings.
Day 02
On the second day of your Tahiti yacht charter, explore Cooks Bay in the morning. This bay is unspoiled – it has changed little since Captain Cook sailed here in 1774 and offers ideal conditions for water sports. The views are stunning and a wander ashore to meet the friendly locals is worthwhile. In the afternoon your luxury yacht will motor into 'Ōpūnohu Bay where you can swim with sting rays or visit nearby Tiki village.
Day 03
Set sail for Huahine following the trade winds over a seven-hour passage across the beautiful South Pacific seas with translucent blue water and warm breezes. Migrating humpback whales may be spotted and almost certainly dolphins. Arrive in the afternoon at the narrow entrance to Huahine that opens up into a beautiful scenic harbour with crystal clear waters. After dropping anchor, explore the coastline on the tender or head to one of the first-class resorts for a cocktail to finish off the evening of your third day on your Tahiti yacht charter.
Day 04
Spend the day in Huahine doing water sports, exploring the beautiful North Coast, searching for sacred eels or venturing through the reef pass to fish blue and silver Marlin, Dorado and Tuna. Return to your private charter yacht for cocktails and a fresh fish dinner on the aft deck.
Day 05
After breakfast take a short sail over to the island of Ra'iātea. This island is considered to be the origin of the New Zealand Maoris and Hawaiians. Visit the city of 'Uturoa before a sunset cruise to nearby Taha'a for the evening of your fifth day on your Tahiti yachting adventure.
Day 06
Explore the lagoon between Taha'a and Ra'iātea stopping at the smallest luxury resort in French Polynesia – Vahine Island. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some wonderful swimming in 26-degree, crystal clear water, floating about the shallows with a cool drink. The snorkelling around these islands is possibly the best in the world.
Day 07
Sail out through the Western entrance of Ra'iātea and back out into the Pacific. Continue for 30 miles in glorious trade wind conditions to the famous island of Bora Bora. Arrive in the deep lagoon by lunch time and anchor in water so clear you can see the anchors in the sand 60 feet below. Swimming here is fantastic and raking the tender for a circumnavigation of Bora Bora lagoon is a must. As the sun sets, go ashore for a drink at the famous “Bloody Mary’s” bar.
Day 08
Spend the day in the lagoon at Bora Bora, fishing for some big game for dinner or relaxing on the beach with a picnic lunch on your own deserted coral island. After lunch visit the spa for some relaxation and pampering. This is also a great place to go ashore and meet the locals; the islanders are very welcoming and love to show you their home, they may also invite you to a dance show organised by the local chief.
Day 09
Today is a day to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on your Tahiti yacht charter in Bora Bora. Lounge on your yacht’s deck and relax in the spa pool, take a tender ride to the beach or play with the water toys. Ashore there is plenty of shopping to be done and maybe a cocktail at the famous Bora Bora Hotel.
Day 10
Head back out through the west side of the lagoon for a fantastic sail to the East Coast of Taha'a, then head north up the inside of the reef to the enclosed inlet called Ha'amene Bay. Visit the famous Pacific Black Pearl farms and purchase some beautiful natural black pearls. Whilst here in Taha'a on a luxury yacht charter, it is also worth visiting the world-famous vanilla plantations, the vanilla here is reputed to be the best in the world on account of its extra rich flavour.
Day 11
Today is a day to relax on your private yacht charter. Enjoy the yacht and all she and her crew have to offer. You can fish, sail, or go ashore for a trip to the bustling markets of Ra'iātea, or a hike in the volcanic mountains.
Day 12
After a relaxed breakfast sail towards Tahiti. The sailing conditions are exciting in these waters and the type a sailing yacht revels in. The passage will take a few hours so it may be possible to stop in Mo'orea for the night. If you are chartering a sailing yacht in French Polynesia, it is a marvellous sight to watch your yacht sailing fully powered up from the tender or better still from a helicopter whilst underway; both can be easily arranged.
Day 13
After breakfast head for the “main island” of Tahiti with your charter yacht. Cruise past the north end of the island and then enter Pape'ete – the bustling capital of French Polynesia. Dock right in the centre of town where guests can walk directly off the yacht straight into the main shopping streets. After a day’s shopping, guests will be collected from the yacht and driven to the nearby international airport.
