English Harbour to Falmouth Harbour. Cruise around Antigua and Barbuda. Imagine turquoise waters and sugary white sand beaches.
Day 01
Board your charter yacht at English Harbour and start your Antigua sailing adventure. You will be welcomed with lunch on board and after familiarising yourself with the yacht and crew, we will set sail for Carlisle Bay and anchor for the night. The bay is situated in a spectacular location between a stunning beach and a natural rainforest. The quiet white sand beach is occupied on one side by the high-end Carlisle Bay Resort, which offers a multi-award-winning spa with various luxury treatment rooms, saunas, plunge pools and a chill out zone, ideal to relax and unwind. Alternatively, you can also take a walk on the beach or enjoy water sports before admiring the sunset on board your Y.CO charter yacht.
Day 02
Wake up to a mouth-watering breakfast prepared by the crew according to your tastes and let them anticipate to your every wish. After breakfast, enjoy a nice sail to Cades Reef, a popular designated underwater park, for snorkeling. You will spot a tremendous amount of marine life including large schools of fish, barracudas, giant sting rays, snappers, parrot fish and other coral fish. The water in Cades Reef is very calm and clear and makes it perfect for a snorkeling experience in the morning. For lunch, we head to Crab Hill beach, which is known for its beautiful beaches and unique bars. The beach is cooled by gentle trade-winds, which makes Crab Hill beach a great venue for strolling, swimming or tanning alike in the tropical sun. The crystal-clear blue water is exactly what you would expect from a private yacht charter in Antigua. In the late afternoon, we set sail to Five Islands Harbour to anchor for the night and enjoy the evening on board.
Day 03
In the morning we head to Deep Bay. You will be served fresh sea food by your crew for lunch onboard whilst indulging in picturesque ocean vistas that include a shipwreck. After lunch, a snorkel trip to the wreck of the Andes, which sits in less than 30 feet of water, will be organised. After a day of watersports, swimming and snorkelling, you can enjoy dinner ashore at one of the many great restaurants at Dickenson Bay, which will be our last stop of the day.
Day 04
Today, we will enjoy a beautiful sail to North Sound. This peaceful wildlife haven is protected by a reef and myriad offshore, uninhabited islands. Take a dinghy to Great Bird Island, a tiny islet lying almost three kilometers north-east of Antigua. This private island that is open to the public, is a miniature wildlife paradise of endangered species. It is the only place left on earth home to the Antiguan Racer snake. You will also see other endangered animals such as brown pelicans, red-billed tropicbird or the West Indian whistling duck. A short hike to the top of Great Bird Island is highly recommended.
Day 05
Today, after breakfast, we sail to Barbuda. This will be a fabulous cruise with opportunities to see dolphins and whales. We anchor off at Coco Point, a beautiful bay with a long pink and white sand beach and typically plenty of turtles swimming around. After some watersports, soaking up the sun and fishing in the afternoon, we will spend the night here feasting on local lobsters that we will grill on the back of your yacht as the sun sets.
Day 06
Today, we will anchor off Low Bay and indulge in a day of watersports and relaxation with jaw-dropping views. Often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, Low Bay will not disappoint. An unspoiled paradise of postcard-worthy beauty it will seduce with its pinkish beach as you walk along the soft sand for kilometres and swim or snorkel in the refreshing crystal-clear water.
Days 07 & 08
Today, we have a longer day of sailing to reach the unique and isolated Green Island. Enjoy the peace and quiet and take a nap on the pristine white sand. We will also explore other bays in the area by tender. Green Island is a prime location for kayaking, snorkeling or playing around with your yacht’s seabobs. Alternatively, hop on shore to visit Betty’s Hope, a plantation established in 1650 and learn more about Antigua’s and Barbuda’s history. Today, the sugar plantation is no longer operational but has instead been transformed into an open-air museum. One of its two sugar mill towers has been fully restored, complete with sails. You will also learn about Antigua’s old connections with rum and how it was produced.
Day 09
Falmouth Harbour, a quaint part of Antigua that begs for exploration. Visiting Shirley Heights, home to an old military fortification, is considered a must. Stroll around this historical site and at the top you can view the breathtaking 360 degree scenic landscape. The restaurants serve as bars in the evening - and the local Sunday party is always a hit.
