'I have sailed around the world'

My Story

From Christchurch New Zealand, I grew up at the beach competing in Surf lifesaving, racing RIBS, and playing international Water Polo, eventually taking me to the UK to work for the RNLI. From there, whilst on a trip around Europe in 2009, I discovered the Super Yacht industry. Since then, I have sailed around the world to some of the most off the beaten track locations on Yachts ranging up to 80m before having a family and transferring in 2019 to a shore-based role in yacht, newbuild and refit management.

Meanwhile in New Zealand during yachting down-time I founded two companies, splitting time between being on the water with an adventure tourism company & programming large fixed-wing UAVs for near-infrared aerial surveying of crops, processing crop health data through automated algorithms and 3D modeling for use in yield projections and sustainable variable rate spreading and irrigation- a technology and industry I’m still passionate about and find incredibly interesting with what is possible.

My Passion

Along the way I’ve been lucky enough to meet many influential and exciting people, experienced Monaco F1 weekends with the McLaren team and owned a 66 K code Mustang. Whilst today, I’m passionate about hybrid propulsion yacht technology, with experience in a large project converting a motor yacht into a revolutionary serial electric propulsion system, I believe this technology will play a big part of our industry’s future in the years to come.

In the weekends you’re likely to find me at the beach near my home in the bay of Cannes or barbequing in the garden with family & friends.
